Responsible Travel

Meg’s Adventure Tours has been involved in the wellbeing and support of local communities since its founding.
Mongolia is a beautiful country with boundless potential, however, it is currently in a state or crisis. The economy has experienced some fairly drastic swings in recent years and this has created several real issues throughout the country. Meg’s Adventure Tours has been involved in the wellbeing and support of local communities since its founding. Meg the founder of Meg Adventures Tours has been a dedicated and loyal supporter of charity and volunteer groups from Malawi Africa to Mongolian. Megs projects in Mongolia include: Donations for the State Orphanage, supplying wheelchairs, donations for single parents, human rights, and the Association of Parents with disabled children. All of these issues are supported by the Megs Adventure Tours company and by Meg herself. If you want to travel in a way that not only supports local business but also supports local communities and local issues then Megs Adventure Tours is the place for you.

In Mongolia many people are living in poverty on the streets collecting empty bottles and cans, just trying to make enough money to survive, struggling as single parents whose children may be without food for several days. Those children who are disabled or abandoned rely on the generosity of others to supplement what the government can provide.
Meg began by volunteering at the state run orphanage, it made her sad to see many young children without a home or family. Meg hopes these children are adopted before they begin to have childhood memories. Meg enjoys seeing them happy when they receive small gifts. However, without their parents it is apparent that there is sadness in the children’s eyes. Meg researched different charities in Mongolia, mostly involving children and single parents. As a result of this research she has become involved with many different activities in the past few years including: Donations for the State Orphanage, supplying wheelchairs, donations for single parents, human rights, and the Association of Parents with disabled children. Meg’s family also did a volunteer program in Malawi, Africa. These programs are just the first step down a long path or caring for and supporting Mongolian families and communities.
